About Suit & Shepherd

Suit and Shepherd was founded by John and Tracy Houston. The Houstons started their first company, John Houston Homes, in 2005 for the purpose of Reaching People for Christ and Giving to the Kingdom.  In the years since, they have implemented a SEAM approach to caring and connecting with their employees and helping teach and disciple employees and their families about the love of Jesus Christ.  They have also incorporated a giving strategy allowing them to get a ROM (return on ministry) by giving company profits to support Christian ministries locally and globally. Suit and Shepherd was established to serve as a champion and guide to help other Christian Business Owners and Senior Leaders implement a SEAM discipleship plan and similar giving strategy for their own businesses.

Our Four Pillars & SEAM Discipleship

Suit and Shepherd was established to serve as a champion and guide to help other Christian Business Owners and Senior Leaders implement a SEAM discipleship plan and similar giving strategy for their own businesses.

  • “Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 NLT

Business Owners, CEO’s, and Entrepreneurs have special needs not many others understand. Suit and Shepherd wants to help you carry your unique burden and surround you with the support and care of others who are on a similar journey.

  • “Every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.” Galatians 6:10 MSG

Throughout the Suit and Shepherd Journey, you will gain access to numerous resources. To name a few:

    • 3-year discipleship plan to refine the heart of a Kingdom-minded business owner.

    • Suit and Shepherd Training program aimed to help business owners design and implement a strategy to reach people for Christ and give to the Kingdom.

    • Access to Kingdom Business Leaders materials aimed at helping business leaders apply Biblical principles that lead to success.

  • “Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:25 NLT

We believe shared experiences are vital to learning and growth. Not to mention, it’s just FUN when we come together! Some experiences include:

    • Worship and Prayer Retreats as a cohort with spouses

    • Virtual gatherings to discuss monthly teachings and readings

    • Shared meals together

    • Invitation to attend JH Family corporate office and one of their All-Staff meetings

  • “I have given them glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one – I in them and you in me – so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17:22-23 NIV

A relationship with Jesus is at the foundation of what we do. And then comes each other. The Suit and Shepherd Journey is committed to nourishing relationships, some of which are with:

    • Mentor – regular one-on-ones with John Houston

    • Guide – regular meetings with a Suit and Shepherd team member who will guide you through the 3-year journey.

    • Cohort – build relationships with 6 other business owners and CEO’s who are going through the Suit and Shepherd program.

    • Deepen your relationship with your spouse and children through family-focused content.

    • Deepen your relationship with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
